Our ProfessionalsPhysiciansJohn H. Braxton, M.D.Dr. Braxton graduated from Howard University with bachelor of science and doctor of medicine degrees. He trained in general surgery at Howard University Hospital and at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he was chief resident in his final year. Dr. Braxton served seven years in the United States Army, his final year as staff general surgeon and assistant chief of general surgery at Letterman Army Medical Center. He was awarded a fellowship in cardiovascular surgery from Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Braxton is board-certified in surgery, critical care medicine, and thoracic surgery. He is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. |
